Aloha… I’m Alisha Kearns. A dyer, weaver, designer, and avid tree hugger. I graduated as an Anni Albers scholar from NCSU majoring in Art + Design and Textile Science. I worked in NYC for Cone Denim and fell in love with the artisan craft of indigo dyeing and hand weaving.

I currently live in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii. I’m inspired by the lush, tropical jungles and pure, ocean air. The Hawaiian spirit courses through the people, land, and culture here, and I cherish being a resident here. I want to contribute love and positive energy through my textile creations to raise the vibration of love and connection to community.

I work with natural fibers, natural dyes, and live a relatively chemical-free life. Indigo is a living dye that needs daily attention, care, and love. I weave on a frame loom and floor loom, both labors of love. Each product is unique and made with special intention. I incorporate stones and crystals into some pieces to increase the metaphysical vibration. I love commission pieces so feel free to contact me with ideas!

Mahalo!
